If you are pregnant, want to become pregnant or are breastfeeding, it is very important that you consult your doctor.
Tell your doctor, pharmacist or nurse if you consume any of the following:
Medications prescribed by another physician
Over-the-counter medications (example: aspirin)
Vitamins
Natural supplements
You can store your medication in pills inside a pillbox.
Biomedical waste
Patients who use injectable medications administered through needles, syringes or lancets
should dispose of them as follows:
Needles, syringes or lancets should be discarded in a sharp container provided by the
pharmacy. If one is not available, a rigid, puncture-resistant, screw-top container should be used. Examples of such containers include: gallons of water or detergent containers.
This container should be identified as NON-REUSABLE NEEDLES. Once the container is half full, cover it and notify the pharmacy for pick-up.
Needles, syringes or lancets MUST NOT be deposited in any household wastebasket.
They must be strictly deposited on the container prepared for this purpose. This container should be kept out of the reach of children and out of the kitchen.
Other related wastes, such as gauze or alcohol wipes, can be placed in a sealed bag and then placed in the normal household garbage can.
