Uveitis is a type of eye disease that can affect anyone, regardless of sex, gender or age. However, most cases occur in people under the age of fifty.
Uveitis is the third leading cause of blindness in developed countries. However, there is still a great lack of knowledge about this disease and the impact it has on the lives of patients.
Many cases of uveitis generally require multidisciplinary medical involvement, involving doctors from different specialties.
If not treated promptly, uveitis can lead to visual impairment or blindness.
